In 2018 and 2019, the Sri Lankan Buddhist Society of Calgary (SLBSC) built a thorana, a free-standing ornamental, to celebrate the Wesak festival in Calgary. I was responsible for programming the LED strips to create complex effects. We have used WS2812B addressable RGB LED strips for both the Buddha halo (budurasmala) and strings around the paintings.

A single strip of 1344 LEDs is used, and 28 LEDs were used for a radius.
